About Notes
Software that understands what a session actually is
Notes exists because behavioral health practices kept getting handed EHRs built for a different kind of medicine โ and told to make it work.
Why we built Notes
Most electronic health records were designed first for primary care and hospital systems, then retrofitted for behavioral health with a few extra checkboxes. That mismatch shows up everywhere โ in scheduling tools that don't understand recurring weekly therapy, in note templates written for physical exams, and in billing systems that treat a 45-minute individual session like an afterthought.
Notes started from the opposite direction: we sat with therapists, psychiatrists, and practice managers first, mapped the actual shape of a behavioral health practice, and built software around that shape โ not the other way around.
Our approach
What we believe
Principles that shape every feature we ship
Built for one specialty
We don't try to be everything to every kind of care. Behavioral health is the only thing Notes does.
Clinicians stay in control
AI drafts and suggests. It never signs, submits, or finalizes anything without a human decision.
Compliance isn't optional
HIPAA compliance, encryption, and a signed BAA come standard on every plan โ not as an upsell.
Support from people who get it
Our onboarding and support teams include former practice managers and billing specialists.
Simple pricing, always
One flat price per provider. No per-claim fees, no surprise add-ons buried in a contract.
Built to grow with you
From solo practice to multi-site clinic, the same system scales without a painful re-platform.
